Nov. 24th, 2003 01:02 pmWell, the AAA was pretty pleasant. Got to do all those conferency things - see old friends, gossip about the one's who didn't come, feel intellectually engaged, buy cheap books. The panel went well - I was forgiven for not getting paper to commentor, but not commented upon as a result. Maybe not a bad thing, but people seemed to like the off the cuff, only half serious paper.
Lola... I ran into DM the day before the panel, who said to me "Lola said that there was something I wasn't supposed to tell you or you'd panic." After I beat it out of him (Press? Lola, you silly, we're talking the AAA here - the press never comes unless there's a big ass controversy of some sort) ML and MC came up to say hey. When I tried to joke with them about the panic issue, they panicked saying that you, Lola, were going to kill ML. I laughed my ass off. I am still laughing - my ass shrinks by the minute. She begged me not to tell you, but I am heartless. Nevertheless, you should not kill her.
Meanwhile, personal life still in chaos, getting harder. Looking forward to Thanksgiving. It's snowing.
